Minutes

The minutes of the October meeting were accepted, proposed Widnes St Maries, seconded Hindley.

(The same as for last month - Are you all reading the minutes?)

Matters Arising.

Yellow High Visibility Jackets are still available for those people who did not get them last time.   Also new bibs have now been received.

There is now no excuse for anyone who is entitled to be on the pitch, not to wear a bib or a Hi Viz jacket.   From now on, points will be incurred in the disciplinary record for non wearing of either bibs or jackets.   Subs should also wear something to cover up their numbers.

Any one else who encroaches on to the pitch and is not wearing a bib or jacket will be fined £150.00.    Please will administrators and coaches make their supporters aware of this rule. Teams not wearing bibs will incur  1 point per match on the Points Accrual Form.

Please make use of these garments at all times.

Postal Strike.   Many of the forms for 28 October have not been received.  Presumably this is because of the postal strike.   Teams have been issued with fines, but if a new Match Day Assessment Form is completed for that day, and with a comment showing that the team sheet has been posted, the fines will be cancelled.

In future team sheets can be faxed or scanned ? saving on postage, but will the home team please keep the originals at home.  Match Day Assessment Forms can also be faxed or scanned, or even completed on line and sent as an attachment.   This will also save on paper.

Correspondence

Youth & Junior Council Meeting.    this will be held on Sunday 25 November at Huddersfield.   One of the items to be presented will be involving Safeguarding and Proftecting Chilren.     Newslett 4 September 2007 was held up and clubs were asked if they all received these Newsletters.   The response was promising.

Czech Rugby League

The Czechoslavakian team would like fixtures against some of our teams.  More details can be obtained from Andrew Fairhurst of Blackbrook Royals.

Channel M.

The second episodes are now running - often from the Rochdale and Oldham area, but should also include teams from the Greater Manchester area.   Available on Virgin 878 and Sky 203 on Wednesdays as 12 midday, Saturdays at 10.00 a.m. and Sundays at 1.30 p.m.   There are repeats at the same times and days on the following week.

Coach Education

Arrangements have been made for Fiona Allen and Vinny Webb to come to our January 9th meeting - 8.00 P.M. START PLEASE.     They will be able to give us a huge insight into the way the coach education programme now has to be run.   It would be advisable for all coaches to attend this meeting as well as administrators - (give up training for one week).

There is also the possibility that funding will be available for all coaches and assistant coaches in the Bridging Scheme.   However, Hilary needs to be sure she has everyone?s name and ID number as soon as possible.  Please notify by e mail as soon as possible. Action: Coaches

Fixtures

National Cup.  We are still waiting to know what many clubs wish to do!  Please let Hilary know by Friday 23 November at the latest if you wish to enter you team.

DO NOT ASSUME THAT BECAUSE THE MASTER SHEET SAYS ?FREE WEEK? THAT YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY GET A FREE WEEK.  If you wish to use that week as your one allowed free week, please contact Hilary and Jackie or else fixtures may be allocated.

Good weather (which was not anticipated) has meant that only 2 matches have been postponed so far this season.   This means that many of the divisions are well on their way to the half way mark or even completion.   Therefore additional fixtures will be arranged for all divisions except the Under 17s and the Premier Division in the Under 16s.   These extra matches WILL count toward the league championship.   Where possible each team will be given 3 home games and 3 away games, and where there are 7 teams in a division, there will be 4 home and 3 away.
