Touchline Managers are reminded they are there to patrol their own team only. They do not have jurisdiction to stop any match unless there is a safety issue. Referees have sole control of the match, including substitutions, dismissals, time keeping etc. Please do not overstep your mark.

From Rugby League Services
New temporary fencing will be available for the beginning of next season. Only a small number will be available to this league. Numbers of teams requiring these were taken, and the league will consider the total cost and maybe just charge teams a reduced amount. Please let Hilary know if you wish to receive/pay for one length of temporary fencing.
Safeguarding Children.
After discussion it was agreed that the league would arrange a date and venue for a course and all CWOs would then be expected to attend.
Delegates were reminded that adults (including referees) should not enter the changing rooms or showers whilst young people are using them.
From Youth & Junior Council. With immediate effect any player who is dismissed from a youth game, MUST serve his suspension with that youth team. Open age matches will not count towards suspensions. Four pointer matches will count as 2 suspensions. A dated suspension may be given towards the end of the season.
From Regional Service Area. Request for details regarding facilities at clubs had been sent out. Apparently it is not possible to read or open all the various options. Hilary to take a futher look at the document.
From Widnes St Maries after playing at Oldham St Annes “How this team are bottom of this league, after this display is astonishing. They had 13 heroes who never gave up trying. They were a credit to their club.”
From Haresfinch U16s “I would like to thank West Bank Swans for the minute’s silence held for Tony Simmons’ nephew who had died tragically in St Helens.”

Treasurer
There is currently about £7,000 in the bank account, but there are still accounts to be paid and also there are still many fines owing. Each individual team which owes fines will be sent a separate invoice. All fines should be paid by cheque made payable to N W C Youth 16 – 18 and sent to Hilary Steel, 6A Orford Green, Orford, Warrington, WA2 8PA. All fines should be paid by the end of April and any team/club which still owes fines at the beginning of next season will not be allowed to re-join this league.

Next season new photos will be required for all teams.

Still struggling as SCL and Cup Competitions are taking refs from our lists.
Fixtures:
N W C Cup Final Under 17s will be held on Easter Sunday 23 March 1.00 p.m. k o at Wigan St Patricks ARLFC. Please can teams bring their own balls.
N W C Cup Finals Under 18s and Under 16s will be held on Sunday 16 March 2008 at Wigan St Patricks, Under 16s kick off at 12 noon, Under 18s kick off at 2.00 p.m. Please can teams bring their own balls.
Lancashire Cup Finals at Oldham St Annes RUFC Under 17s, Hindley v Pilkington Recs.kick off 2.45 p.m.
National Cup Finals at South Leeds Stadium on Monday 5 May. At Under 18s Pilkington Recs, at U16s Wigan St Patricks and Wigan St Judes and at U4s Halton Farnworth Hornets will representing the North West Counties. 4 teams out of 6 is good representation. Well done to all and good luck in May.
Academy signed players will be given permission by their professional clubs to play in these prestigious cup finals.
All remaining fixtures given out till end of the season. Only a few fixtures are out for the first weekend in April. These will not involve those players who have signed Academy contracts.
Two balls each were given out to quarter finalists from Northern Rail who are sponsors of the National Cup Competition.
Revised tables as at 12.3.08 were distributed. DisciplineThe next discipline meetings will be at Rylands Recreation Club from 7.00 p.m. on Tuesday 18 March and 1 April – hopefully this will be the last meeting this season. Hilary must be notified as soon as possible in writing enclosing a cheque for £10.00 if a personal hearing is requested. Disciplinary meetings are always held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at Rylands Recreation Club in Warrington unless notified otherwise.
If a player is dismissed, THE ONUS IS ON THE COACH OR SECRETARY, firstly to ensure they receive a copy of the dismissal report and secondly to ask for a personal appearance (if one is required) in writing to League Secretary and accompannied by a cheque for £10.00.
