Requests for personal appearances must be made within 7 days by phone to Dave Hull on 01925 710513 when an approximate appointment time and date will be given. Personal appearances cost £10.00 which should always be paid in advance. Disciplinary meetings are always held on the first and the third Monday of the month in the Council Room at Rylands Recreation Club, Warrington from 8.00 p.m. except in the case of Bank Holiday Mondays. If a personal hearing is requested, a club representative and/or the player concerned MUST attend the meeting. When video filming has taken place at a match, it is in the club?s interests to forward the unedited video tape to the League Secretary within 7 days of the date of the match.
Results of the disciplinary meetings will be sent out by post to all concerned. If club secretaries have not received the result within 7 days, they must contact Dave to confirm. Suspensions usually commence on the Saturday of the week after the hearing, unless six matches or more have been given, in which case the suspension will commence immediately.
Appeals to BARLA must be made within 7 days of the date of the letter informing of the disciplinary decision. You will be notified if you are able to appeal. Any such appeal should be accompanied by a cheque for £40.00 and made out to BARLA and sent to BARLA offices (copied to the disciplinary secretary of this league).
A points system is in operation in this league. Well disciplined clubs benefit. Points are amassed automatically and will be totalled up each month and a list distributed monthly.
One point is given against a sin bin and three sin bins equal one dismissal. A dismissal incurs three points. Foul and abusive language incurs 4 points. Clubs reaching 12 points are fined, and subsequent fines are incurred at intervals if points reaching further 6 points are amassed.
Brawls and abandoned games carry fines but no points.
