Match day Procedures
MATCH DAY PROCEDURES
MATCH DAY PROCEDURESHome clubs must make contact with their opponents as early in the week as possible in order to give directions and exchange details of strip etc. Tuesday would be best.
Home clubs must make contact with the appointed referee as early in the week as possible. Only David Lowe is allowed to appoint referees. (01744 454804) for league fixtures. Failure to notify opponents of unavailability after the Friday afternoon may result in a fine.
Players' registration cards and coach's registration cards must be exchanged before each match INCLUDING friendlies. Where a team fails to comply, THE GAME MUST NOT BE PLAYED. Playing a game without cards will invalidate insurance for both teams, and will incur fines to both sides. Whoever signs the team sheet is taking responsibility for the cards being checked properly. This is not the referee's task.
Failure to play any scheduled league match without prior permission will result in a fine and possibly points being awarded to the opposition.
Four weeks clear notice must be given to the secretary and fixture secretary by clubs wishing to apply for a free date in future fixtures. Clubs are limited to 2 requests each season, excluding the first week in September.
Both clubs should complete the Referee Assessment Forms provided and these should be returned to the league secretary for receipt within five days of the match. Failure to do so will incur a fine of £10.00. Team sheets will be handed to the home club secretary/coach by the referee after the match and they should be sent with the referee assessment form to the league secretary. However, should there be any dismissals or brawls during a match, then the referee will send the team sheet in with the dismissal or brawl report.
Home clubs should ring in the match result before 2.30 p.m. on the day of the match to the results/fixture secretary. (Hilary Steel). Failure to do so will incur a fine. You may use any of the following three methods:
Land line 01925 489719
Mobile-text only please 07779028944
Please be brief, stating age group, then division, then teams (home side first) with the result.
e.g. 18s, division one, Halton Simms Cross 20, Shevington 16.
