Registrations & transfers procedures

Registration and Transfer Procedures
All new players must register on the triplicate registration forms which include a disability clause. The onus is on coaches or whoever is responsible to ensure that players and parents/guardians are aware that there is no player to player liability on the present BARLA insurance policy. All new players must provide original proof of date of birth. All new players must provide two photographs- the player's name, age group and team should be written on the back of each photograph.

All registration secretaries should ensure that the registration form is completed correctly - especially parents' and players' signatures. The same person should sign the forms for all players.

New photographs should be provided once every two years - the photo must be a good likeness of the player. The player's name should be written on the back of the photograph.

Re-registrations can be done by using the re- registration lists provided. Players and parent or guardian must sign the forms. All Under 18s must provide two passport type photographs and the player's name and team should be written clearly on the back of the photograph. The team representative must also sign the list before it is sent in to the league registration secretary. It would be sensible for the team registration secretary to keep a copy of the registration list. Where possible photos should also have the player's ID number on the reverse.

Players who have any change in circumstances e.g. change of address or name must re register using the triplicate registration form. If any photograph is out of date or does not now show a true likeness, two new passport type photographs must be sent in. Each photograph should show the name of the player and his team and age group.

All forms should be signed by only one person from each club. Variations will be returned. Send all three copies to the registration secretary and the pink one will be returned with the cards.

Each set of registrations should include 1 first class stamp which will be used to send forms for processing at BARLA. Complete sets of cards will need 3 first class stamps - envelopes will be provided but the address of the recipient must be shown on an envelope or a separate piece of paper. If the correct postage is not sent, cards will be issued at the next monthly meeting. Alternative arrangements can be made for the cards to be picked up from 6A Orford Green, Warrington. Please ensure a telephone number is clearly visible so that clubs can be informed that their cards are ready for collection.

BARLA transfer rules apply in this league. If players wish to transfer to another club, they must go through the normal transfer procedure. All transfers must be sent to the league registration secretary: Hilary Steel, 6A Orford Green, Orford, Warrington, WA2 8PA.
BARLA transfer forms must be used for this purpose plus all the other paperwork and should initially be sent to the registration secretary.

Twenty five players is the maximum number of players per team for all age groups in this league.

Fifteen players is the minimum number of players per team and fixtures will not be given out until 15 players are registered.

Players must register with a club which is in their own district (i.e. where they live). Players are not allowed to play outside their own district, unless such a registration/transfer has been ratified by the transfer committee.

Clubs may not receive more than three transfers each season, and each one must be from a different club. Transfer forms can be obtained from the registration secretary.

Transfers must be conducted through the registration secretary of the regional league. Should there be any doubt about such a transfer, the registration secretary will take the transfer to the BARLA Registration and Transfer Committee.

BARLA will produce the actual registration cards, which should be tamper proof and each player will then receive their own individual BARLA number.

It is in the players', coaches' and the league's best interests to have the registrations prepared and sent to Hilary Steel as soon as possible after 14 June 2007. Back to top
